“Is it always the man who is supposed to propose to women?”
Not at all!
I mean, sure, it’s traditionally the man doing the proposing, and plenty of women also dream about their future husband bending the knee and asking them those four magic words, but it’s certainly no longer an exclusive arrangement, especially in modern times.
A lot of women have started to mix up some of these things that used to be tied to gender roles. Now, they can want to be the one to propose or bring up the topic of marriage to their partners.
What’s important is for both man and woman to know beforehand what kind of dynamic they have and if the expectation of a proposal will be on one partner or another. If it’s not made clear, the couple may end up waiting for a long time because they both had the wrong assumptions about how they’ll broach the subject of marriage.
