“Why do married women feel like they’re better than single women?”
Do they really?
I meet plenty of married women day in, day out, and I don’t really encounter things like this. If anything, it’s usually the single ladies nowadays who can be quite proud of their status as unmarried women, since it’s a mark of the independence and agency that’s been denied to the female population for so many years.
But if some married women do think they’re better than their single counterparts, I guess it has a lot to do with finding partners to spend the rest of their lives with and being well on their way to building their dream family.
If single women have more independence and freedom to pursue their individual dreams and goals, married women can be seen as more mature and worldly. Having a spouse or being a mother can give you wisdom and experience that you just can’t get if you’re still single.
In the end, being single or married doesn’t make anyone superior. It’s just a status that reflects your choices in life. It’s up to you how you live that life to the fullest and how you enrich the lives of the people around you.
