“What is considered “too open” on a dating profile?”
You don’t want to reveal too much about yourself all at once. The whole point of looking at someone’s dating profile is to see how interesting they are, and what makes it even more interesting is the “mysterious” part that they leave out. It’s always best to leave room for the unexpected.
Sure, women would like to know that you love dogs, and men would like to know that you like Sunday barbecues and going on road trips to the countryside.
What you don’t want people to know is how many failed relationships you’ve been in, that this is your last attempt at finding someone to settle down with, or anything that basically says you’re desperate.
So yes, I would say talking about your relationship history or a detailed summary about your life is considered “too open.”
If you’re a guy, just ask yourself what you would like to see on a woman’s profile. From that perspective, think about what you think would be interesting enough to put on your own dating profile. Keep it neat and simple.
