Yes. For a variety of reasons, both valid or not. Attraction is important, yes, but it isn’t the only thing that can hold a relationship together.

Just as there are many factors that can help bring two people together, there are just as many factors that can split them apart. Incompatible values, lifestyles, and massive conflicts that go unresolved can make people leave.

In the case of that last one, that is why it is important to know how to practice healthy relationship compromise. In spite of deep attraction, anyone can leave if things get too toxic.
