The right thing to do here would be to let him know. There’s no ifs or buts around it. We cannot claim to be friends with someone if we’re just going to sit on information like this.

The hard part comes with how to tell the friend about his wife’s cheating. Whether it is emotional cheating, physical cheating, or both, there’s never a good time or an easy way to spill the beans.

The safest way to do this, in my opinion, would be to ask him to meet you somewhere and lay out all the facts. It would not do to go into a stressful meeting like this without proof.

I’d pull no punches, but I’d also let him know that it brings me no pleasure to report this and that he has my complete support.
